is a storage medium primarily used for the storage of television pictures for
subsequent replay. Many videodisk players are capable of being controlled by
computer allowing video sequences or still frames to be incorporated in
interactive CAL packages or enabling computer generated text and graphics to
he overlaid on the television picture. Because of the very high storage capacity
of video disks they are attractive as a ftiture means of mass storage of computer
data in digital form.
